Hi, I’m Peta Henley and I started Strong Bookkeeping Services 2012. I have been providing part time bookkeeping services to business in the Snowy Mountains and South Coast since 2006.
After a change in employment, I registered Strong Bookkeeping Services and started providing bookkeeping services on a full time basis.
My enjoyment of all things accounting started at high school in Queensland. This was put on the back burner when I moved to Thredbo in 1996. As those that have worked in the Ski Industry would know, I was employed in various jobs including hospitality, retail, and within Kosciuszko Thredbo. In 2002 the chance to work full time in accounts became available and the enjoyment of working with accounts came back. In this area I monitored accounts from The Thredbo Alpine Hotel to Ski School to Mountain & Maintenance. My focus became working towards increasing my accounting knowledge and attaining certification to become a bookkeeper.
In 2012, I became registered with the Tax Practioners Board as a BAS Agent and then completed my Certification IV in Bookkeeping. Next step will be Diploma of Accounting.

I enjoy doing accounts!
I like working with numbers and seeing what those numbers can produce for a business. Working with Accountants has allowed me to be more aware of what the Australian Tax Office look for within a business accounts. I need to advise owners to make sure their accounts are in order and within the benchmarks of what the ATO look for.
I feel like when I take on a new client, I become part of their business. I like to see my clients do well and want to help all I can to help them succeed.
Over the last few years, I have seemed to become specialised in Account Rescue. I have had a lot of business owners who have either had issues with bookkeepers who haven’t performed, accountants that haven’t provided the right service or just the business owner who became so swamped, confused, lost in the accounts that they didn’t know where to start. After rescuing these accounts, I get to see the relief of the business owner that things are now in order and they can start doing what they do best, not worry about the accounts and leave the accounts for me to do.
